True story: Harley, our Springer, was a foodie BIG TIME! We were getting ready to grill out the Bill Brock brought out a plate of steaks to put on the grill. He said "Watch those so Harley doesn't get them"...well the dog, snagged a steak and I immediately thought "She's going to choke on that big thing. I gotta get it out of her mouth."
So I grabbed the steak and started yanking it out. The dog calmly looks at me as I'm yanking at this steak, and I'm thinking WOW this dog is awfully calm about this meat! Turns out she had already eaten the steak and I was yanking on her tongue! HAHAHAHAHA! Talk about a good natured pooch ❤️

We once had a female Rottweiler in the 90's come home with a still very hot T-Bone steak hanging out of her mouth. She had to have stolen it off of someone's grill. We never heard anything about it so they must have left the grill unattended just long enough. Actually, too long.

I used to have a cat who did it with an uncook steak, my mom was going to eat for supper. Ended with broiled eggs instead and a sleeping cat in her bed. 😸
