Roughly 10,000 years ago, a star about 20 times the mass of the Sun exploded - and the Veil Nebula came to be.
Pictured here is a mosaic of six Hubble images. Together they showcase an area roughly two light years across, which is only a tiny fraction of the nebula's entire 110 light-year structure.
