My view this morning around 0830 MST. The Rockies in the background at +/- 50 miles West. In the sky you can see what we call a “Chinook arch”. The Chinook is a warm dry wind coming from the Pacific. In winter, it is quite warn. Could bring the temp to the upper 60s for a few days. When the average is around the lower 30s, we won’t complain. Drawback, violent winds. Could go up to 45-50 mph nearer to the mountains.
