View MoreAnother funny arrest from the Polk County Sheriff's Department (The humor is in t he hashtags :-) ) Elliott made an illegal U-Turn Sunday afternoon, and with that, his day took a turn for the worse.The infraction occurred at the intersection of US 27 and Posner Boulevard in the Davenport area. People in that area know that a lot of illegal U-Turns occur at this intersection, but the problem with enforcing it is that most people won’t make that turn when a deputy is sitting right there. With the exception of Elliot. The deputy was stopped at the intersection when Elliot made the wrong turn, so the deputy conducted a traffic stop on Elliot’s black Chevy Tahoe.When the deputy approached the driver’s window, it became obvious as to why Elliot did what he did—his decision making ability was compromised.The deputy reported that Elliot’s eyes were bloodshot and watery and the smell of booze emitted from the vehicle.Elliot attempted and failed the Standardized Field Sobriety Test. You could say that Elliot wasn’t Stabler than he should have been, so a little Law & Order was called for. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. He was placed into the back of the deputy’s patrol car.On the way to Camp Gradytown, Elliot began kicking the door window, but after two kicks he stopped, saying that the window was hard.Inside the jail, Elliot provided two breath samples of .142 and .139 (.08 is the no-no mark).Elliot was provided with some orange comfy clothes to change into. While doing so, a baggie fell from his sock. Unfortunately for Elliot, it was not a baggie of foot-powder. Instead, it was a baggie of illegal nose powder. Cocaine, y’all.Elliot’s day ended with charges for Possession of Cocaine and Paraphernalia, Introducing Contraband into the Jail, and DUI (which gets him a spot on our monthly DUI arrests poster).
